Christopher Parr is a professionally trained tool maker/engineer and Rebecca Lyne has a BA(hons) Fine Art Sculpture. Working collaboratively we combine fine art sculpting with skillful mould making and finishing. Our practice involves the process of casting in various mediums but we have an enduring fascination and expertise in traditional lost wax metal and glass casting. The subject and medium of our work is wide and diverse. This range includes individually distinctive kiln formed art glass, interior design commissions, portraiture, illustration, figurative and geometric sculpture that examines contemporary theory. Our fine art has examined aspects of the human condition from personal and social identity to the history of figurative and conflict representation. Our aim is to show the figure in contemporary art by utilising original, modern and progressive concepts combined with the traditional skills of fine art. We exhibit widely through out East Anglia as well as in London and Manchester. Our commission work is equally as varied and extensive. Some existing sculptures can be tailor made to suit size requirements. We are happy to discuss any commission as we love working to create pieces with clients, it is an exciting and satisfying aspect to our practice. Please contact us with your ideas and requirements.
